Dr Ahangari completed his studies in dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2014. His first job after graduation was working with The Myobrace under the supervision of Dr John Flutter. He then left to work in Canada for nearly two years before returning to Australia to work for MMRC HQ under the direct supervision of Dr Chris Farrell. He has now received full-time direct mentorship from two of the biggest global authorities on myofunctional orthodontics (Dr Farrell and Dr Flutter). Dr Ahangari excels in communication, has a passion for teaching and looks forward to contributing his skills to revolutionising the way professionals and the public view breathing and myofunctional health issues.
Lecture summary
This 60-minute presentation will briefly cover the history of notable figures who have contributed to Myofunctional Orthodontics. We will explore how breathing and myofunctional disorders lead to malocclusion, TMJ, and breathing disordered sleep issues.
We will present an overview of the considerations needed to evaluate the issues relevant to treating patients using Myofunctional Orthodontic techniques and guide you in the implementation of the Myobrace® System. We will also look at a sample of cases that illustrate the wide range of malocclusions that Myobrace® can treat, as well as what type of cases you should be looking for to get started.
