This 60-minute presentation builds on the previous webinar titled ‘Myofunctional therapy in dentistry and airway health’, and briefly covers the breathing and myofunctional influences on teeth alignment, craniofacial growth & development. We will explore how breathing and orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD’s) may lead to malocclusions, TMJ, postural and breathing disordered sleep issues.
Dr Raphael will share case studies highlighting the benefits of preventative and early interceptive orthodontic treatment with myofunctional therapies. In addition, you will acquire a clear understanding and be able to draw inferences from the cause and effect of soft tissue dysfunctions and malocclusions. Following this webinar, it will be clear to you what steps you must take to prevent and/or intercept OMD’s and ensure facial growth achieves its genetic potential promoting straight teeth the natural way.
